Note: Language support depends on operating platform -- not all platforms support all languages.

The Wireless Connector for the IM AutoProbe Scan Tool uses the Bluetooth interface Serial Port Profile. Therefore any platform which is enabled with the Bluetooth interface Serial Port Profile will work with the Wireless Connector. The Bluetooth interface is widely available as adapters, PC Cards and Compact Flash cards for many platforms including PDAs. Many of the latest PDAs are available with the Bluetooth interface already integrated.

Technical Note:

IM AutoProbe leverages Java technology and therefore is capable of running on any platform (including embedded systems) which has a Java 2 Runtime Environment for JDK 1.2 or later. An RS-232 serial port with a compatible driver is also required. Serial port converters such as USB-to-serial and Ethernet- to-serial can be used, but the host platform must provide a compatible driver. For most platforms, serial drivers which support the standard serial communications API on that platform is sufficient.
